I always thought that clothes are a form of art but this is truly wearing art in the literal sense.<\/p>\n

This skirt was given to me as a gift for my birthday a couple of years ago. It is from D&G FW09 collection<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The painting on the skirt was made by <\/b>Jacques-Louis David in 1814 and now hangs in the Paris Louvre. It is said that it took the painter 15 years to produce and is called<\/span> Leonidas at Thermopylae<\/b>.<\/b> <\/b><\/div>\n
The painting depicts a tale of heroism drawn from Greek history: the sacrifice of Leonidas and three hundred Spartans who were massacred resisting the Persian armies as they invaded Greece, in the rocky gorges of Thermopylae.<\/b><\/div>\n
